Bemidji Area Schools has implemented a Communication Plan to guide teachers in effective and timely correspondence with parents.  The plan outlines procedures to be used in sharing intervention procedures and results with parents.  Parents will be notified regarding:

1) A student’s need for an intervention (see links);

2) A student’s intervention plan, progress, and plan revision;

3) The termination of an intervention (on the Intervention Communication Checklist);

4) The need for further assessment or a deeper look at the student’s needs, which may include a referral to special education (on the Intervention Communication Checklist); and

5) The ways a parent can help his/her child at home (see links below in the “How Can Parents Help Their Children at Home?” section).
