A math and reading screening process is conducted yearly at all the elementary schools and Bemidji Middle School.  Students are assessed using MAP Growth in September, January, and May.  These assessments and related reports identify students who have not reached the target scores and who may be at risk for reading failure.  The reports indicate which students are successful with core instruction (Tier 1), which students may need some supplemental support (Tier 2), and which students may need intensive support (Tier 3).
