The 2010-2011 District AYP Improvement Plan is developed by Title I districts identified as not making adequate yearly progress (AYP) for two consecutive years. The requirement for such districts is to develop (or revise) and implement an improvement plan based on eight specific elements.

- Elementary Science Lesson and Assessment Handbook (pdf file)
This handbook is based on the 2004 Minnesota Science Standards. It was developed by teachers from Bemidji Area Elementary Schools, Cass Lake-Bena Elementary School, and Red Lake Elementary School. The development of this handbook was made possible through a “Best Practices in Science” Grant from the Minnesota State Department of Education.
- Technology Integration Collaborative Lesson Plans
Thanks to a district staff development grant, classroom teachers, technology teachers, and media specialists were given the opportunity to collaborate in the creation of quality technology integration lessons to be used in the elementary classroom, computer labs, and media center. Each lesson was developed to support the classroom curriculum and includes a description of the lesson activities in each instructional setting.
