Continuing Education Clock Hours and Renew Online
To access your continuing education clock and hours and renew online select Teacher Support and Educator Licensing and you will see: The Center for Educator Licensing (CEL) is now available.
The Center for Educator Licensing (CEL) is your one stop to apply for your first Minnesota license, renew an existing license, track the status of an application, or to view your clock hour record. Click here to access CEL.
You will click to access the CEL where you are required to register as a first time user. You will need your most recent teacher license serial number and file folder number. Your file folder number is found in two locations on your license: in the top left portion of the license just below the seal, and in the top right portion of the license in the “Record of Issuance” section. A new serial number is assigned each time you renew. This number can be found in the middle of your license, on the left hand side, just above the section describing Renewal of Conditions. Use the first six numbers of your serial number.
