Health Services Available in Bemidji Area Schools

The model of nursing services in Bemidji Public Schools uses a combination of a Licensed School Nurse (LSN) for the district and health paras who serve in the health offices performing health office clerical functions, first aid and episodic care (caring for ill and injured students), and carrying out delegated nursing activities performed under the LSN’s supervision (such as giving medications and/or nursing procedures).  The school health team works with families, students and staff to promote a healthy and safe environment.
