5th grade students from Mr. Olson’s class at J.W. Smith Elementary have been plenty busy in Mr. Alberti’s art room this year using the elements of art to create Squiggle Creatures. Each student started out with a random “squiggle” that they were asked to turn into a creature from their own imagination.
Upon completing the drawing they transferred their image onto a piece of watercolor paper. With the help of a color wheel and previously learned painting techniques the students used analogous colors (groups of colors adjacent to each other on the color wheel) to fill in their masterpieces. Way to go All-Stars!
