Sigma Pod students and their science teacher, Mark Studer, spearheaded a a “Glasses for the World” service project this spring.  They encouraged students and staff from Bemidji Middle School to bring in their old prescription eye glasses to be donated to the Bemidji Lion’s club.   Nearly 200 glasses and glasses cases were collected. The glasses will be cleaned and prescriptions checked. They will then be shipped to towns and villages where they will be distributed by volunteer medical teams to people who cannot afford eye care or glasses.  Great Job!
