BMS held 6th and 7th grade end of the year Lumberjack Awards on Thursday, June 1st. Students were recognized for their participation in school and community activities. These qualities exemplify our logo “BMS ROCKS!” In our logo the letters R-O-C-K-S stand for Responsibility, Opportunity, Community, Knowledge & Success.  Each Allied Arts Teacher and each Pod Teacher  nominated a student for the Lumberjack Award which is a citizenship award based on student’s Attendance, Activities, Academic Improvement, Work Ethic and Behavior. 
      Each Phy. Ed. teacher nominated one student for a Physical Education award based on their students Attendance, Activities, Improvement, Work Ethic, and Behavior.
      Each student who received the Lumberjack award got a T-Shirt that says Bemidji Middle School ROCKS! Students with Perfect Attendance (away from school for less than 3 hours total for the 2016-17 school year) were also recognized and given certificates.  Congratulations 6th and 7th graders!
