Many Bemidji Middle School students enjoyed the benefit of being part of the Share The Future Program at BSU in early December. One of the activities offered was a session in the brand new Star Lab from the Headwaters Science Center.  As a result of a MINNESOTA NASA SPACE GRANT CONSORTIUM, BSU was able to bring the Star Lab and presenter, Kitura Main from the Headwaters Science Center, to Bemidji Middle School for three days allowing all 15 classes of 8th grade Earth science students to experience of the mobile planetarium.  The students made their way into the cozy black bubble where the lights were dimmed and with a quick turn of the equipment, the night sky moved from winter to summer where different stars appeared. The students heard stories about various constellations and learned names of stars and interesting information about space.
