The Bemidji Middle School Math League team sent eight members to the 2019 Mathcounts Regional Math competition that was held at Northland Community College in Thief River Falls last week.   The competition is sponsored locally by the Lake Agassiz Chapter of The Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers.   Nine teams registered this year but eight teams (64 individuals) actually competed due to the severe weather.

The team from Bemidji Middle school  was first overall and will have four BMS students go on to the state meet in Plymouth, Minnesota on March 8 and 9. Bemidji is coached by Rebecca Rud.
Five Bemidji Middle School students received trophies including an 8th grade girl from Theta pod, a 7th grade boy from Kappa pod and two 7th grade boys from Gamma pod along with one 6th grade boy from Beta pod.
