Use of Facilities for School and Non-School Activities

Governor Walz’ Executive Order 20-99 has paused a number of activities where social gatherings create risk of COVID-19 spread, including all organized adult and youth sports and activities which include games, performances, competitions, practices, and other in-person gatherings of teams or groups participating in extracurricular activities, effective at 11:59 pm as of November 20, 2020.

The Executive Order also applies to any non-school activities in school facilities.  During this time, schools are not allowed to rent out their gyms, weight rooms or other facilities.
