In early May, the second grade classes of Mrs. Hazelton, Mrs. Pearson, Mr. Purrington, and Mrs. Shanahan performed on stage in Horace May Elementary School’s 34th annual second grade musical, “Character Street”. The play’s theme was based on character education. Students sang, acted, recited lines, and danced their way across stage in an effort to teach and reinforce the traits of “Kindness”, “Courage”, “Responsibility”, “Good Judgment”, “Self-Discipline”, “Perseverance”, “Integrity”, and “Respect”. An audience of approximately 1500 students, staff, guests, and parents enjoyed this year’s play. The students did an amazing job! We are very proud of our second graders.
