The Kappa Pod students participated in activities centered around their interdisciplinary unit on ecology at Bemidji State Park on October 8th.  Activities included Global Positioning System (GPS) Tree Identification, composing nature Haiku’s, tree math, teaming activities with nature photography, examining tree rings, nature hikes, and comparing and contrasting “The Lorax” to real life environmental concerns.  Each student had the opportunity to participate in four of the eight stations.  We all enjoyed the colorful trees, interesting nature displays, and beautiful weather at the park.
