Students from Central and JW Smith Elementary had beautiful weather Friday afternoon to participate in their fourth annual “Relay For Life” festivities.  The day started off with an all school assembly to talk about how cancer touches so many lives.  Cancer survivors were on hand to share their stories and participate in various activities.

Staff from Central and JW were good sports giving students the opportunity to throw a pie in their face, drop them into a dunk-tank and even duct tape to a chair.  Students also took part in a variety of activities including hoola hoop races, tug-of-war, sponge relays and walking the track.  Over $1,400 was raised for the fight against cancer – way to go Cougars and All-Stars!
