17th Annual BRRRmidji Plunge

February 13, 2021

What could be better than helping Evergreen AND seeing Mr. Lutz take the Plunge?!

Each year the Bemidji Jaycees host the BRRRmidji Plunge where local “celebrities” will be competing against each other for the most donations for the charity of their choice. The winner with the most donations will get to take the icy plunge into Lake Bemidji on February 13, 2021. Due to COVID-19 guidelines, the event this year will be closed to spectators but will be broadcast on the Bemidji Jaycees Facebook page.

ISD 31 Superintendent, Tim Lutz, is one of the “celebrities” and has selected our very own Evergreen Youth & Family Services to raise awareness and support! We are so honored to be a part of this year’s event, and wish to extend our sincere support of the other deserving agencies being represented at this year’s festivities.

100% of the donations made during this fundraiser will be going back to the charities – every dollar raised is very appreciated!

Here are some of the ways your donation can make an impact for clients of Evergreen:

$25 – covers the cost of obtaining a vital document
$50 – pays for 2 birth certificates, or 5 food bags
$100 – provides 1 hour of family or youth counseling
$250 – covers the cost of 1 night at our Shelter
$500 – covers the cost of setting up a youth in housing
As you can see, gifts of any amount can help us with our mission of strengthening youth and preserving families in northern Minnesota.

To raise awareness for this event, Evergreen is offering two gift certificates, $50 and $20 to Brigid’s Pub, to our supporters who complete all of the following:

  • Make a donation (of any denomination) before midnight on January 31st by going to the Bemidji Jaycees Donation Page and choosing Tim Lutz/Evergreen Youth & Family Services
  • Like Evergreen Youth & Family Services, Inc. Facebook page
  • Tag 2 friends on the BRRRmidji Plunge Facebook post on Evergreen’s page
  • Share the post from above on your Facebook (screenshot and send to sgreenwaldt@midwestagenergy.com)
  • Thank you and stay tuned to see if we will be sending Superintendent Lutz into Lake Bemidji!
