The School Board of Bemidji Area Schools is conducting a search for a new superintendent. The School Board contracted with the Minnesota School Boards Association (MSBA) to provide guidance and assist the District with the search.
The School Board met on February 17, 2022 to plan the search. An important part of the search process is gathering stakeholder input for the Board to consider as it moves forward in selecting the new superintendent for Bemidji Area Schools, and here are two ways you can engage in the beginning phase of this search process:
SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH SURVEY
A public survey is now available for all stakeholders to fill out beginning February 21, 2022 to March 7, 2022. All responses to the survey are anonymous, and MSBA will summarize and provide an overview of the responses for presentation to the School Board.

Hard copies of the survey are also available at the District office. Please complete this survey by midnight on March 7, 2022.
VIRTUAL QUESTION/ANSWER SESSION WITH MSBA
To ensure all district stakeholders have access to accurate information regarding search processes and expectations, MSBA will host a virtual Q & A with MSBA session at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, March 2. All stakeholders are invited to attend, and the Zoom link will be available that day on the District website. To accommodate busy schedules as well as ensure access and transparency, the session will also be recorded and made available on the District website for the remainder of the search.
