Bemidji Area Schools (BAS) today announced a series of community listening sessions to be held this summer between district residents and Superintendent Tim Lutz.

Now through August 13, parents of area students are encouraged to join Lutz for a conversation about the future of Bemidji Area Schools and learn more about the district’s finances and next steps. The sessions will be held several times each week through the Google Meet video conferencing platform. During each session, Lutz will provide a brief presentation and offer time for parents, staff and community members to ask questions.

“Over the last several weeks, I have enjoyed hearing feedback from our devoted family of teachers and staff,” said Lutz. “Now, it’s time for our entire community to weigh in to ensure that ISD 31 will be able to provide each student with an equitable education.”

More information, including the specific dates and times of each session, will be shared on the district’s Facebook page and through parent email updates.
