Students at Central and J.W. Smith Elementary are very busy in Mr. Alberti’s art rooms as they prepare for the annual 5th Grade Invitational. With cut-paper donated by the print shop at Bemidji State University, cotton batting donated by Jo-Ann Fabrics and a variety of cardboard boxes the students have been using their imaginations to create an over-sized box monster. Students worked on their creation off and on over a three month period. Way to go Central Cougars and JW Smith All-Stars!

You can see the completed creation at the Watermark Art Center 5th Grade Invitational opening reception on May 1st from 4-6 p.m.

The show itself will run through May 16th and include works from Bemidji Area Schools 5th grade students at Central, Horace May, JW Smith, Lincoln, Northern and Solway Elementary.
