On Wednesday, March 13, 2019, the Bemidji Middle School parking lot was the scene of several Indigenous games led by Coach Ninham and his wife Susan.  The event was sponsored by Empowered Youth Development Initiatives and Bemidji School District’s Indian Education Program.

Fun was had by all participants ages 4 – 64.  Games included Snow Snake, Stick Ball, Lacrosse and Rabbit Hunt.  After working up an appetite, players enjoyed a delicious bowl of wild rice soup and reminiscing about the games.

Kudos to Coach Ninham and his wife Susan for bringing this fun, cultural activity to Bemidji Schools.
