Mrs. Propeck read her students the book, The Night Tree by Eve Bunting. In the book, a family decorates a tree in the woods each year for the animals to enjoy. Students strung popcorn and cranberries and then went out in the Horace May woods and hung their popcorn strings and scattered apples, oranges, and bread crumbs to feed the animals. They also sung a carol as they sipped on hot chocolate to keep them warm.
