Our school provides healthy meals each day. The United States Department of Agriculture is allowing schools to provide meals for the 2021-22 school year through a provision of the National School Lunch Program called the Seamless Summer Option (SSO). A waiver has been issued in order to support access to nutritious meals while minimizing potential exposure to COVD-19.

Our school has chosen to use this waiver and operate the SSO which enables us to provide meals free of charge for all students.

Breakfast and lunch are served daily to all students.  Your student will need money in their lunch account if they would like to purchase an Ala Cart  or Second Entree item.

Those eligible for the reduced price meals will receive breakfast AND lunch free of charge.

Money can be deposited into your child’s meal account via these options:

1.  Food Service Drop Box located in the High School at the alacarte window.

2.  Using credit/debit cards on line at our school district web site:

3.  Mailed to the Bemidji School District Food Service Dept.: 502 Minnesota Ave. NW, Bemidji, Mn 56601

4.  Payments may also me made during lunch each day in the high school commons.

Personal checks should be written to ISD #31 with the student’s name and PIN in the memo area. When sending cash, please place it in an envelope and write the student’s name and PIN and the amount of money on the envelope.

Charging of meals is discouraged. The food service staff will contact parents/guardians of negative meal accounts to arrange payment.

The PIN should be kept confidential.  Students may not use other student’s PIN to purchase items in the food service.  Please refer questions regarding meal accounts to Jayne at 444-1600 ext. 63196 or the food service office at:  333-3100 ext 31141.
