Our school provides healthy meals each day. The MN Free Meal Program provides free meals to all regardless of status.
Breakfast and lunch are served daily to all students. Your student will need money in their lunch account if they would like to purchase an Ala Cart, Second Entree item, or milk.

Money can be deposited into your child’s meal account via these options:
1. Food Service Drop Box located in the High School at the alacarte window.
2. Using credit/debit cards on line at our school district web site:

3. Mailed to the Bemidji School District Food Service Dept.: 502 Minnesota Ave. NW, Bemidji, Mn 56601
4. Payments may also me made during lunch each day in the high school commons.
Personal checks should be written to ISD #31 with the student’s name and PIN in the memo area. When sending cash, please place it in an envelope and write the student’s name and PIN and the amount of money on the envelope.
Charging of meals is not allowed. The food service staff will contact parents/guardians of negative meal accounts to arrange payment.
The PIN should be kept confidential. Students may not use other student’s PIN to purchase items in the food service. Please refer questions regarding meal accounts to Jayne at 444-1600 ext. 63196 or the food service office at: 333-3100 ext 31141.

Our senior high food service program provides numerous nutritious meals each day throughout the school year. Our dedicated staff serve over 600 breakfasts and over 1100 lunches each day. In the past few years we have made changes to the menus that may not be apparent. Some of these initiatives include:
- All potato items are trans fat free and are baked, not fried.
- ALL of our bread/bun products are whole grain rich.
- A variety of fresh fruits and fresh vegetables are offered daily.
- Entree salads are offered daily as a lunch choice.
- Whole grain, trans fat free cookies.
- Wholegrain, low sugar cereals for breakfast.
- Fat free frozen yogurt.
- Whole grain pizza crusts.
