Athletic Director Andra Vaughn and Sierra Malterud, Female Athlete of the Month for April 2017

Sierra Malterud has a smile that melts right to the heart.  She is a carefree, hardworking student and athlete that works hard and encourages every person on her team.  For Sierra it is not just about winning, it is about doing your best and gaining the most from the experience.  Her coaches say that Sierra is one of the most positive athletes they have ever worked with.  She finds the good in everyone and everything.  She is an asset to each team she participates on and an asset in the classroom as she has a very good academic record as well.  In the first track meet of the year her hard work at practice paid off as she placed in the long jump and the hurdles.  Sierra is a great athlete, student, and person.  She emulates what we would like to see from all student athletes here at Bemidji Middle School.

Athletic Director Andra Vaughn and Jordan Brown, Male Athlete of the Month for April 2017
